Training & Curriculum

At Lincoln Medical Center, our Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program offers a comprehensive four-year curriculum designed to prepare residents for independent practice or subspecialty training. Our curriculum balances hands-on clinical experience, structured didactics, and research opportunities, with an emphasis on serving a diverse urban community.

Clinical Training

  • Obstetrics: High-volume labor and delivery experience, managing both low- and high-risk pregnancies, with early exposure to operative obstetrics.

  • Gynecology: Broad surgical experience, including minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology procedures.

  • Subspecialty Rotations: Maternal–fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, family planning, and gynecologic oncology.

  • Ambulatory Clinics: Continuity clinics in obstetrics and gynecology, providing care for a diverse patient population with a wide spectrum of medical and social needs.

Simulation & Didactics

  • Weekly Conferences: Morbidity and mortality, journal club, grand rounds, and case-based learning.

  • Skills & Simulation: Hands-on training in surgical techniques, obstetric emergencies, and minimally invasive procedures in a dedicated simulation lab.

  • Board Preparation: Structured curriculum designed to support success on CREOG exams and ABOG certification.
